The birds chirping, the crackling hearth and the sound of branches swaying in the wind. Can you hear the silence? In the log cabin in Ládví, you will experience the ultimate harmony. Treat yourself in the outdoor hot tub with nature scenery, relax in the sauna, and cool off in the natural swimming lake with a gazebo on the shore. You will wander the beautiful surroundings of Josef Lada’s region, which encourages walks or horseback riding, and you will forget all your worries in the private area of the nearby chateau.
The log cabin consists of a cozily furnished room with a comfortable double bed and a modern kitchenette. The bathroom has a toilet and a shower. Outdoor seating is possible on the roofed terrace, or by the open-air fireplace. There are also a private sauna and a whirlpool on site, which are at your full disposal.
The cabin is located in Ládví only 30 minutes outside Prague, and yet it seems like a completely different world. The surrounding nature offers tranquility and peace, but also a feast for the eyes – the Czechs call it the Lada’s Region, according to Josef Lada, one of the most famous Czech painters. It was the scenes from around Ládví and Kamenice that the painter captured forever in his works.
Only 5.5 kilometres (3.5 miles) from the cabin, the romantic area of the Baroque chateau Štiřín is situated. It’s the perfect place to relax. When you’re done with walks around the English-style chateau park with several ponds, you can stop at the golf course, tickle your taste buds in the luxury restaurant or let yourself be pampered at the local wellness centre. Rest guaranteed.
Interesting places in the region are connected by a circular trail through the Josef Lada Region, which is intended primarily for cyclists. It will lead you through several hills and valleys, around the Velké Popovice brewery, the Berchthold and Lojovice chateaus, and near Hrusice, where the birth house of Josef Lada and the monument of the respected citizen of Hrusice – Mikeš the cat – stand. Just follow the route marked with the signs of a red flower.
The Konopiště Castle is famous mainly for its bear enclosure, which has existed in the area since the middle of the 19th century, when the Lobkowicz bought the first bears. The main tourist attraction nowadays is the rare Asian black bear. However, the castle itself is also worth a visit as it dates back to the end of the 13th century. And the last owner was the heir to the Austro-Hungarian throne, František Ferdinand d'Este.
